If you rely on a scale for any part of your
business, you need to make sure it’s calibrated
Calibration is a crucial process that involves testing a scale to ensure the desired level of accuracy.
Even the highest quality scale will not remain accurate indefinitely due to normal wear and tear over time. Factors such as exposure to electric or mechanical shock or operating in a manufacturing environmentcan further accelerate accuracy degradation.
An inaccurate scale could result in serious consequences for your business. For commercial purposes,
it is essential to have legal-for-trade calibration to comply with regulations. In a laboratory setting, where precise measurements are vital, scale calibration takes on even greater significance. In processing and manufacturing, incorrect measurements can lead to issues with product quality, product loss, or even necessitate a product recall.
To ensure the highest standards of calibration, we adhere to guidelines for specifications, tolerances, and other technical requirements for weighing and measuring devices as outlined in The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Handbook 44. Farnham's Scale Systems is proud to provide accurate and reliable calibration services for your scales.
Online Calibration Certificates
CRS™ Certificate Retrieval System
CRS is calibration and certificate management software. Technicians perform onsite calibrations and enter data directly into a handheld device. As well as having the ability to print calibration certificates from the web-based data management system, CRS provides a secure online asset maintenance history and documented inventory of assets.
Especially useful during audits, customers can log in to retrieve their calibrations, see the calibration history for each scale and view the list of scales and when each is due for calibration. Customers have access to the calibration certificates through crscerts.com
